The Union Spirit match, supported by the Dubai Sports Council (DSC) and sponsored by emaratech is the first of its kind with a non-stop football match over 36 hours to commemorate the UAE’s 43rd national day festivities.
The match was held at the Dubai Police Officers Club with a kick-off at 9am on Friday 28 November until 9pm the following day.
1674 participants (86 teams) from different age groups and nationalities living in Dubai took part in the match including former national team players & players from sports clubs. Total scores were 197 goals for the white team and 155 goals for the red team.
The legendary Diego Maradona, the global sports ambassador for Dubai has participated in the match.
